AlexJots aims to publish clear, useful and original information. This policy sets out the standards guiding new work and the ongoing review of our older archive.
Research and evidence
We prefer original documentation, official publications and first-hand reporting where appropriate. Material claims should be checked against sources suitable for the subject. We distinguish verified facts, estimates, opinion and illustrative examples. We do not invent interviews, quotations, tests or qualifications.
Original contribution
A guide should offer useful explanation, practical examples, documented experience, analysis or a tool. Changing words from another article is not enough. We respect copyright and image licences and do not knowingly publish copied or spun material as original work.
Authorship and specialist subjects
Articles identify their author and should connect readers to relevant background information. Any specialist reviewer and the scope of their work must be described accurately. Health, financial, legal and safety claims require particular care and appropriate evidence. General educational information does not replace professional advice.
AI assistance
AI tools may assist with research preparation, outlines or editing. They do not replace fact-checking, verification of sources or responsibility for the final publication. We explain substantial AI involvement where understanding the method matters to readers. Generated experiences, images or screenshots must not be presented as evidence of real testing or events.
Dates, updates and corrections
We retain original publication dates and distinguish meaningful updates from cosmetic changes. When a material error is confirmed, we correct it and add an explanatory note where appropriate. Older archive material is being reviewed against these standards; publication of this policy is not a claim that every archived article has already completed that review.
Advertising and commercial relationships
We identify sponsored material and relevant affiliate relationships clearly. Advertisers do not purchase favourable factual conclusions. Commercial recommendations should describe the evidence and limitations behind them, and paid relationships should be reflected in the relevant link attributes.
